If the 'strut' is part of the ship then please get rid of it, it looks silly. Also its looks (to me) a little bit squashe length wise. May be increasing the size this way by half again would help. Other than these minor points. Good work!

The bottom strut is a little too big, I think, but the rest of the fighter is much improved over the original. The strut also looks like its hanging on by a thread.
