Taiidan Heavy Cruiser -> GTCv Phobos

I have fully converted the model file of the Taiidan Heavy Cruiser into trueSpace.  I'm currently working on the turrets and will plan to release the Heavy Cruiser to TAP and the GTCv Phobos (Same model, different textures.) to the Freespace 2 community.  I'll post some screenshots as soon as I'm done.

P.S. - If I give full credit to Sierra for the model and not use the model for profit, their lawyers won't contact me, hopefully.

i think you already know this and just made a typo, but in cas you didnt:
C=cruiser
Cv=Corvette

There already is a GTCv Phobos.... Dark's model.

actuaally, Dark's version is history, the only one that remains is Woomeister' version.

i used to think conflicting names mattered, but i really dont anymore, there are so many mods out there that many names are repeated already, i've heard of atleast 2, if not 3 Chimeras.

Little note about the Heavy Cruiser.......

If any of you have played HW, the Taiidan Heavy Cruiser has firepower rivaling the Colossus. Four ion turrets on the front give it a good march-in-and-kill ability.

and turrets the size of corvettes... those rip a nice big hole in the side of an enemy destroyer... cant wait to see it :)

I intended for this to be a corvette.  It will be a counterpart to the Deimos.  It will lack the sufficient firepower to defend itself but will rip a hole in an enemy ship.

Yes.  I understand.  As mentioned above, it will consist of four beam cannons, though not as heavy as the BFGreen. (I'm going to implant the SGreen for the forward beam turrets and the TerSlash for the lateral beam turrets.)

Maybe not an enemy destroyer, but it could vaporize a Deimos quire easily.

By the way, if I can't call it the Phobos, I'll call it the Ceres.  I take that name so no one else can take it after me.

Well, I have converted the Taiidan Ion Cannon and added Turonic Raider Array panels to make the Gorgon Cannon.  Check out my other thread that nobody visits. :p

Ahh, but Kushans ships look a lot tidier. JUst look at multigun corvettes, the Taiidan ones are all over the place, whereas its Kushan counterpart looks like a neatly rounded pebble.

Yes, we have it working ingame with turrets, engine glows, subsystems etc.

And yes, the Tai ships look much cooler than kushan ones. Except the Kushan destroyer, it look just like the Babylon 5 Warlock destroyer.
