I see. What are the specs for it like? Will I need a GeForce 3 to play it or something? Because I only have a TNT2 right now.

  • Away in RL land. Back later.
I heard a rumour that mentioned this fall.
Also I read somewhere that they may be showing Halo at E3.

Like I said rumours...

I fail to see what so good about Halo, to me it looks a hell of a lot like C+C Renegade, and what a masterpiece that was.

It's well executed, on almost every level.

The maps are interesting, the objectives sensible, the opponents stealthy, the vehicles fun, and the story well told (if not a bit reminiscent of every sci fi story ever).

It may not be terribly innovative, but it is incredibly well executed.

I'm with Zeronet on this I think, I found a copy of it running on the display version of the X-Box in Virgin Megastores a month ago or somethnig and just picked it up and started playing.. not only was that my first go on Hal obut my first go on the X-Box as well so I was pretty sloppy with the controls and everything. Even so my charachter was in a jeep at the time and I had great fun just burning around the edge of the island (it was down where the Warthog Jump Movie was filmed IIRC).

Anyways, I had great fun with it - obviously more play is required before I'll put absolute certainty on it being as good as they say but initial testing looks very promising indeed.

Personally I am looking forward more to Unreal 2. :)

I have also played it, and it's good, but not great. Also, it's pad controlled. On PC it might be pretty good, though.

Hmm, don't be to hasty with that idea - remember that they've made UT since Unreal, they've come a long way and a lot of other inspirational games have been released since. There's a lot of evolution that's happened in the FPS and somehow I think they might have a good game in the works. The eye candy is definitely there and if they can piece together a decent storyline (which it seems they might have) then it could be worth it.

I really need some games that actually use my computers power, most of the game i own would run on the old computer, including JK2.

Well, nothing has a truly awesome story besides FS/FS2 and DX in my opinion. :p I need good level design and good fighting/gameplay, and this is one area where Unreal was way ahead of the competition for its time.

Hmm, could be true on both accounts - all I'm saying is don't be so hasty to judge it before it comes out. Would you buy Half Life if the only released story about it was "your a scientists in a lab, things go wrong and aliens show up". Not exactly an inspiring storyline is it? :)

DX2 and UT2 = A1-SUPAR!

No, seriously. ;)

Halo is incredible for a console shooter, IMO. Shame there's no bots, or I'd still be playing it now, but it's excellent for multiplayer.
