OT - Opening night tickets!
Hehehe - I love living here. I just went to the theatres with my friend to buy tickets for Episode 2, and got them with no problems, and no wait! I was there only 27 hours or so before the first showing, too. :D

Row 5, seats 11-14. :D

I pity all you westerners who'll have to stand in line for hours upon days to get tickets sometime in the next week or two. :D

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Well, I can buy the tickets through the 'net if I want, and pick it up at any time at the theater without any lines. The seats are not usually numbered here, so I'd just have to get to the theater kinda early. The problem is - AotC will only start in two months here... :p
Probably away. Contact through email.

Seeing it at 1PM tomorrow. Ah, life is sweet.

Plus, I watched the full Phantom Menace DVD today; it does improve it with the extended scenes and the deleted ones in terms of explanation though it's hella-long...and Anakin is still the most annoying character ever.

Yes, more annoying than Jar Jar Binks. ;)

Heh...on occasion some things are better left unsaid....but alot of the time, if everyone was open about some things, then nobody would be shocked to hear it.

I'll be going sometime next week to see Ep2 at some crazy time like 12:00 noon :)

Pfffft you have to buy in advanced? At the theater I go to, you can walk in, buy a ticket, hit the popcorn stand, and be at your seat (unassigned) within 5 minutes (opening night or not. :D ).

I am not sure what the wait times at the theaters here are like, but I am not interested in movies anyway. :p

Hehehe - when you consider that there's only one theater house - 6 theaters in it - in Jerusalem that's carrying the movie, I'd say that getting tickets a day ahead of time was good. :)

AcePace - sorry bout that, chaver.

OT - Opening night tickets!
I bought tickets for Ep2 on opening weekend for Spiderman (while I was buying my Spiderman ticket, I saw that they were selling Ep2 tickets, so I did an impulse buy.)

I then went downtown and stood in line for 3 hours for the midnight showing.  Just got back.  I'm a happy person.

BTW - the standing in line for 3 hours bit was for the experience....I've never done that before.  It wasn't necessary, I could've gotten a decent seat w/out standing in line at all (in fact, the seat next to me was empty through the whole showing, and I considered where I was to be near-perfect...a little far back, but dead center).

Anyway, as I said.  I'm happy.  (-:
