Heh. Just watched The Empire Strikes Back. Man, Ep1&2 have totaly started to change the way I watch the original trilogy! YODA LOOKS LIKE HELL! He's older, wrinkled, thin, and alot more gray in colour. Not to mention somewhat deranged. Well, maybe being in solitary for 20 years in a swamp can do that to someone. Anyway, back to topic, 1 part gave me a bit of a chuckle. It's when Han is just about to be carbon frozen, and Chewie gets a bit angry at the propect and starts tossing Stormtroopers around. What made me chuckle is when Boba raises his weapon to shoot chewie and Vader then pushes the weapon down. I always wondered why he did that, why he cared enough for Chewie, not to kill him. Well I was wrong, it was because of Threepio! He didn't want threepio to be shot! :D
I have returned... Again...

If that's the case, I'm surprised Darth Vadar a.k.a even cares abotu anything at that time.

Don't you know Lucas is best at creating these kinds of crap science? But then again, who cares? As long as lightsabers keep chopping people into half and slicing arms and other limbs off, I don;t mind.:D

I'm guessing supercompressed gases are released followed by a sonic pulse. Would form a good fighter-supressing weapon for FS....

Episode 1 and 2 spaceships: Shinny metalic, streamline, look highly advanced.

Episode 4 - 6 spaceships: Chunky, dirty dull colourd, Look a bit clunky...

The fasion changes of the post clone war universe i assume.

Most of the more advanced looking designs were probably destroyed. Also, why bother making more advanced-looking when you can make it more advanced internally?

But you have to remember that Obi-Wan's fighter is about the size of an A-Wing, but requires the big circular-thing to hyperspace. Also, Anakin's robotic hand is obviously robotic; in Episode 5-6, Luke's is barely distinguishable from a real hand (you'd have to hit it with a blaster or a lightsaber to find out; or perhaps scan it)

Or you could take off the glove.

EP 1 and a bit of Ep 2- Ships aren;t produces in such large quantities, so can still be designed with a bit of flair.

Later, post clone wars, ships are mass produces for war, and are thus utilitarian is design.

How often did we see civillian traffic? The closest we got was Cloud City, and those look like the vessels used in the first two by quite a bit.

But if you look up the specs for R2, they were there from the beginning.  No continuity broken. :)

Eh?  Name doesn't describe the nature of the weapon.  Just like 'turbolaser' doesn't mean a turbolaser is a laser.  A turbolaser is just a funky name for a plasma pulse cannon.
