Having spent roughly four hours into SR3, I have to say it's kinda underwhelming. Sure the ridiculous setup and jokes are sometimes great, but gameplay sorta falls through and is bordering boring. It lacks the force that drives you to play more. For example, Just Cause 2 has more engaging and fun gameplay.

It also feels stupid you need to unload full mag into people before they go down. Unless you aim for the head. Shotgun seems utterly useless for this reason. Right now it seems pistol sniping is the way to go.

I never felt much urge to play more than an hour of JC2. SR3, however, is a contender for GotY.

Sure, shotgun seems useless. Upgrade it to level four and then get back to me. It, uh, it gets better. Like, a lot better. Like, a lot a lot. Although really what you want to upgrade ASAP is the pistol. And then you want to upgrade to dual-wield them. Explosive dual pistols take out pretty much anything short of a tank before their magazines empty. Well, a tank or a brute.

Doing it all over again with someone

I also used my character from SR2 to the exact number. Gave me that feeling of accomplishment that I took someone out of a coma to owning two different cities causing massive mayhem and destruction along the way
