It's interesting. Touted as caseless, but the case really got replaced with something else.


First found it featured here. It's not a laptop just like the original bondi blue imacs weren't laptops either. It happened to be semi mobile, and tossed in for laughs clearly.

It's (The foam is) heat resistant up to 100°C and more or less in-flammable (ie. fireproof). It's also waterproof, non conductive and -and that's really important- it's light.

also the processor is P1 200mhz iirc they were only a few steps beyond no cooling required and will happily run with passive cooling

when you think about it a case is really just a box that you put your electronics into. though its wise to make a case that blocks electrical noise, can contain any shorts, and facilitates cooling. this cellulose foam, being a non-conductive insulator is not well suited to any of those jobs.

#1. I see no mainboard / mainboard connecters. (excluding the mouse/keyboard cords)

#2. The cards appear to bow away from what I would consider to be a flat surface.  I would imagine such disfiguration would render a board damaged.

#3. No good pictures.

i have my doubts as well, theres not enough space there for the rear pannel connectors that would be to the left of all the cards there. unless its some really oddball form factor. or if hes doing something like this.

....which does little justice since it conveniently has the making of the computer pictures pretty darn tiny.
They're hard to make out. I bet if they were hi-res pictures, we could see much better that the innards are bull****.

I did however remember cement computer.

I think foam computer guy was going for something similar, but not with security in mind.
