Cause I haven't managed to get any done yet.  Patience.

And I have to get a hoop for my collar before I can attach a chain to it.

eh...what's a spiked collar? If it's a metal shirt collar with spikes on it, I guess it can be useful if you bump into comeone, since the other guy is the one who is going to get hurt. :D

Bah, the patterns they make just happen to be in the right position (this is only my personal opinion) and happens to be a good instrument with which to measure certain...things (energies? objects?  i dunno)

I hope you're not ridiculing his belief system. That would be...inappropriate, coming from you. ;)

Star Signs arent a belief system. Its just what some writers made up. They dont look at the stars or anything, i,ve seen a program on it, how they learn to be as general, pointless and vague as possible. The fact is you can get 10 mags and in them the star signs will all be different even for the exact same week for the same sign.

I didnt say they were.  I said the whole SCIENCE of astrology is an instrument to divine one's personal makeup and maybe allow them to fill in a few gaps in their lives.

Its just what some writers made up.

Correct.  by trial and error.  Over...about 5,000 years?  If it was a farce it wouldn't still be around.

Most horoscopes you read are simply take into account the sun sign, which is barely 10% of what is actually going on.  To work it out properly you need to know pretty much what sign every planet was in.  For this you need the exact time and place of the birth, a full chart of retrogrades for that particular year and a great head for numbers or a good astronomy program.

And even then the interpretation really lies with the Astrologer.

Mercury in Aquarius might mean different things to different people (usually not, but still..)

Its a hugely complex system that is an excellent way to catalogue human personalities, even if nothing else.

Nah the Writers just make it up depending on the audience on the magazine, which helps them narrow some of the likey things that would happen or go on in the said persons life based not on any Astrology, but their age group, sex and area.

I don't usually give much creedence to Astrology but I was born in the year of the ram and the description of people born in the year of the ram is surprizingly close to my personality.

I wouldnt give credence to anything unless it, well, worked.

And as far as my experience has showed me, astrology works.

nobody else has to believe it and i'm not going to bother with evidence because somebody would manage to pick holes in it even if it was irrefutable.  Which i don't think it is, but anyway...
