Yeah right. NOT improving your standing here. Saying "I am a genius and you guys can not appreciate my brilliance, so I am not going to even try to show you my skills" is not the wonderful discussion strategy you think it is.

Ok NOW I'm insulted. I didn't mind your protip so much other than the fact it is was made in bad taste long after it could have been useful. Telling any one they need to go back to mesh building long after the model has been UV mapped, textured, and put in game shows a complete lack in manners on your part. If you had issues with the design of the model they should have been addressed AT THE TIME the model was in that part of development. It is not mine nor any my collaborators fault you weren't around to make your suggestions then so why make them now long after they ceased to be relevant. If as you say find my work to be mediocre at best (By far the most insulting part of your comment) then by all means feel free to make your own version and share it with the community. I as you say may not be as talented as you obviously think you are but I have given a lot of my free time and my own limited skills to help out FSU and Inferno and I don't appreciate your tactless comments.

Until you can actually prove your expertise however, it only exists within your own mind. And for us, that means you seek to insult us and disrespect us by not taking our own perception into regard. None of us know you OR your expertise, so you are coming in from out of nowhere, necroing threads just to flaunt that we are merely mediocre. In which case, go do that somewhere else please. Because this is a community where regardless of differences we should still respect each other and the work done, even when it's not necessarily work we personally agree with. That's called professionalism. And an expert in anything should always be professional.

The mediocre may resent brilliance. But again, until such brilliance can be exampled and proven to exist, it is simply that we resent egotistical posturing. And anybody will resent being insulted by anybody else. Providing  of proof is a vastly different than "showing off" and so far, you haven't done either in any case.

My impartial judgement is to mark you as being a troll and serve you with a warning. My not so impartial judgement is that you are egotistical ass until proven otherwise. And in any case, unless you can definitively example your so called brilliance in an actual polite fashion that is respectable and shows respect to the community in which you are present in, you can just keep on moving along to elsewhere.

Unilateral banning without opportunity for -some- form of apology or redemption isn't exactly my style, but rest assured, I'm watching. In the mean time, what ever responses we do make can either make the situation better, or worse. I'd like to urge that we go for "better" please.

Oh yes those 200 hundred odd polies just smoke my 5000+ polies any day of the week. From what I've seen on the Moddb website if this is the same guy they not only banned him but removed all his comments from the site. I don't mind giving him a chance to redeem himself but I would do so with zero tolerance for any further infractions. If this is the same guy he has already demonstrated his inability to be a productive or even positive member to any modding community and deserves to be treated so.

Hi hundeswehr, admin here. I've seen your original comments on a number of ships and whilst some were constructive, others were not. A lot of the threads you replied in were old and - as you were already told - some of the ships being developed have been filed as "completed".

Now we get to this post which, lets face it, is asking an entire community to trust in the notion that you know better but without any proof. The models you're seeing here is the result of many hours of freely given time by enthusiasts - much of it a collaborative process. That's not to say that the folks here are closed off to new ideas or thoughts but lets face it - when you enter a place, tell everyone you know what is best for them and then refuse to prove you know what you're talking about because that would be "boasting" - well it doesn't leave a lot for the people here to go on.

It makes you look arrogant and rude. Frankly I'm not sure whether this entire thing falls under the heading of someone misguided or someone trolling.

Suffice to say you'd be well advised to temper your attitude to something more community friendly or indeed show us what you can do in terms of modelling / mods etc. and let the community judge whether to take what you think on board or not. Keep in mind they're not obliged to listen to your point of view and - if you continue to put it across in the manner you have so far (including this topic) I can guarantee you won't be around here for long.

In short... reign in the attitude and consider that you're a new and unknown person around here. You don't have to be all smiles and niceness but then being rude, bumping old threads and posting new ones titled "lol ego trip" are a sure way to ensure a kick out of the door.

I don't see this thread serving any further function but to cause unrest so I'm locking it. If you've anything to say in return feel free to PM me but please don't create new threads of this nature.
