I'd go with nanocomposite armor for your next research, and not just because I'm the guy in front with the shotgun.  Headdie needs better armor too if he wants to survive being a plasma magnet.

The Saracen attmpted to intercept the alien fighter alone, bu was outmatched. Still, Mongoose managed to evade the alien long enough to bring the interceptor back home, altough criticly damaged.

If you don't bring it home shorting out and held together with duct tape, you're doing it wrong.

Player mroe missions. Right till the end of hte month. Again, plenty of shooting and stuff, but still no new enemeis.
I guess it's triggred by alien and UFO research, which  I have been neglecting a bit

We've been shootign down UFO's and I've been selling everything I could (inclusign alien items), so that caused nation happines to go up. That also caused quite a few missions.

Hurr..ever since I got this ne keyboard, the keys are bit...iffy. Game doens't always take a screenshot apparently.

Team 2 is doing goof. Rookies are proving themslves and are eager to avenge Garrus!

And you can see me running like crazy down, since a bloodspider started killing civies. That's bad for our rep.

Blam! Only one spider left.

I send Sparde and Firespanw up, the rest move in on the UFO. I go forward and didnt' notice an alien waiting..

the near fiasco of team 2


Looks great, doesn't it? One of hte scrubs kills hte alien behind our dropship immediately. Full auto at that range (2 squares) - deadly.


Barrus detects an alien in the cow/horse holding pen. It shoots him 2 times and gets out:

Melvin attempts ot shoot it..and fails. Alein retuns fire on melvin and hits! Crap.
Melvin tries again. and misses again. And the alien returns fire AGAIN. And hits AGAIN. WTF???????

Everoyone runs in to help. Barrus finally kills hte damn thing, and the rest move to heal them both..who have less than 10 HP left!!!!!

Patriot etects another alien and opens fire. He gets some hits in, but the broken wood is i nthe way. With only 4 TU's left, we duck behind the wall.



Olny for the alien to follow wiht a friend as they both open fire - badly injuring a scrub and hitting Barrus AGAIN. However, he was healed a bit the turn before so he again barely survives.


Enough is enough. Patriot and Headdie finally kills those last two douchexenos. With extreeme prejudice!

BASE AREA 51 now operational. Has it's own fighter craft. Also, started construction on 2 SAM sites next to it.
20,000$ for a SAM site that's 2 tiems better than the one in the base??? Frak that, I'm gonna spam these everywhere!

Two fukken missions. I decided to create a thrid team in Area 51 after this.



So we deploy..in a supermarket!


We fan out immediately..and start running into aliens. Scope is not having her best day, but Kablammis is luckily here...his missile hits, but doesn't kill.

Still, it's enough to freezethe alein in palce, and next turn it's days are numbered.


Another alien creeps up on Firespawn and they shoot eachother. Firespawn is the injured victor.



As we move futher forward, 3 more aliens appear. We quickly move to flank them.




Scope and Sparda take out the armored one.


Kablammis and me take out the second one.


The last alien is Laz0red (Ravenholme and Dekker) and then blown up with nades (Retsof)


We auto the second mission and head back home when....

And we auto that one too.

Meanwhile team 2 has it's own missions.
One suick and simple mission, and hte trip back to base sees the dropship followed by a UFO. But...3 SAM sites around hte base and the UFO literaly crashes on the base.

They started this mission woubed and sorounded.



I heal as I can manage, sice I have to watch for cover and alien coming from all sides.

Raction fire from Melvin takes one out that attempeted to come from behind. Headdei bazookas another and then retreats as he's criticly injured.

Some reaction fire injures the two aliens ,who come close enough for Laponte to use her nades


The last alien is brought down by focused fire and the team can finally breathe easy.

Seriously, team 2 is constanly full of injured people.....

And we finally assemble Team 3. Sparda and Retsof lead this one.

Time for theri first mission.

And here come the... - ORTNOKS!!!!


Everyone runs like mads and spends every last TU shooting.

The Ortnok is tough as nails..but at least 1 Taman is dead.


The thing charges us and it takes concetrated fire to bring it down (even afte takin a rocket and a few shots the turn before)


A line of concetrated fire is established.



And at last the team moves in. Two un-armored Ortnoks

And they are brought down by our fire.

First deployment of Team 3 is a great sucess.

The combination of variosu weapons is effective. We got a bazooka(Headdie), grenade launcher, 2 assault rifles, 2 lasers, 1 EM rifle(Patriot) and a flamer(Rodo)


As always, there's always one you have to chase around the map


UFO Scout research compelte...we cna now start dissasembling them for parts.

Ok Dekker - laser rifle and incendiarey grenades it is. And so far, you, Ravenholme and Firespawn are still in Team1.

In other news there has been a lot of promotions - especially among the n00bs. I am no longer the highest ranking officer - Retsof now outranks me (Warrant Officer). I have to remedy that.

As soon as Heavy Laser research is done, Nanocopmosite aarmor and Heavy Pistol are next.

Also, Rising Sun (4 workshops) is churing out Laser and EM rifles, so we will be seeing more usage of those weapons.

I re-played the last 15 days, and we're back where we were. Things went a bit different and the aliens are becoming mroe and more dangerous and more and more IRRITATING.

That said, I started production of nano-comosite armor. We also got Heavy Lasers.
and soon I'll have a Heavy Pistol for you.


Seems auto-resolve HATES close-comabt ppl. If I equip you wiht long-range weapons, auto-resolve doesn't kill you. Go figure.

Sorry for hte lack of updates. Game needs balancing as the alien activity is becoming redicolous, and the aliens MUCH more dangerous...and I cna't auto-resolve everything, as auto-resovle generally leads to injuries even on victory.

It's not uncommon now so start a crashed UFO mission with a heavily armored alien with reaction fire night next to you.

I will post some screenshots, but suffice to say there have been a lot of battles and deaths - all newcomers wihout a proper callsign.
Nanocomposite armor is entering circulation, Firespawn got a heavy pistol and Stun Rod, we can now produce plasma grenades (for grenade launcher) and nca use alien plasma weaponry.

We have another base in the Revolutionary countries (south america) and all other bases are expanded to hte max. Area 51 has it's own researhc nad production wing, HQ is pure research with just 1 workshop, and Red Sun is nothing but workshops. Dismantling UFO's and building things take a lot of time, and it's nto hte lack of buildings, but manpower that's hte problem.

Money isn' a problem anymore. With 2 UFO yards full, I now sell everything, and with the frequency of missions and UFOs's ourfunding is now breaking the 1Mil a month. That's without selling 200+ plasma pistols that accumulate inside the base.

I have literaly started ignoring crashed UFO's (that get shot down by our SAM sites). We have started research on a new interceptor class (finally).
Still no Coilguns or XAW95, but we won' see those before the aleins bring in Needlers and Particle Weaponry.
