I've been on an addict streak playing this game. We should setup a multi. These games can run very long though.

Zacam: Uh. No, using an effect is okay. But you are literally using the TECHROOM ani as the weapon effect.

Yes. Definitely not a quick 30-minute affair this.

I played a 4 player FFA today. I played Vas Rebs and allied with a TEC Loyalist mid-game because he was getting ganked by the other two players. We set up an epic network of phase stabilizers and starbases. At any one time, you could see at least three starbases flying between my Phase Net. We slowly pushed the other two players back with an impenetrable defense.

We played on a random Medium map, the game took about 3 hours.

What exactly have they changed from the Trinity? I'm considering buying, but I'd like detail and Steam's bad at it.

Is Rebellion stand-alone?

NGTM-1R:  The new subfactions all play very differently, even when they share a race, and play styles from rushing to turtling to diplomacy are supported depending on faction choice.  The Titans are your generic superships that wreck fleets by themselves.  Corvettes are rapid skirmisher units.  The graphics got a major overhaul so everything's prettier than ever, and that's everything from particles to shaders, including shadows.  The added capital ships all have some nifty new features, and abilities now have four levels instead of the three they did in Trinity.  The new victory conditions are diverse, such as Research Victory being the tech-to-win condition and Occupation is the King of the Hill win condition, whereas Flagship is the Assassination victory and Last Capital Standing is where you're eliminated if your capital planet goes under.  The engine also got optimized for better performance, and there's all sorts of new stuff like buffs can now be dependent on other buffs and planets can be stripped for resources so modders will have a field day with it.

Mort: Yes, it is.

[21:51] <@Droid803> this will be SLIIIIIGHTLY awkward
[21:51] <@Droid803> as this rich psychic girl will now be tsundere for a loli.
[21:51] <@Droid803> OH WELLL.

See what you're missing in #WoD and #Fsquest?

[07:57:32] <Caiaphas> inspired by HerraTohtori i built a supermaneuverable plane in ksp
[07:57:43] <Caiaphas> i just killed my pilots with a high-g maneuver
[07:58:19] <Caiaphas> apparently people can't take 20 gees for 5 continuous seconds
[08:00:11] <Caiaphas> the plane however performed admirably, and only crashed because it no longer had any guidance systems

And it's only $40. Beats out the competition, hands down.

Played a game with Droid last night, had good fun against 6 or so Unfair AI. After we had won the game, I had planned to assassinate the AI who we had allied with, but my game glitched out and my capital went under (we were playing last cap standing) so I was eliminated. Though I have recently found out why the game runs so horribly on my computer, even on the lowest graphical setting: It's not optimized for Windows XP. You need Windows 7 at least to run it well, and so that's just one more reason to upgrade. Siiiigh.

Just managed to build my first Titan playing Advent Rebels. Sent it against a pirate base with a small escort fleet. No more pirate base. ALL THE BEAMSPAM!
