I noticed it as well, if only because the icon it uses for constantly loading is very different to the one that Firefox uses.

I liked this April Fool's joke a lot more than HLP's traditional word-filter nonsense or last year's cover-the-page-in-horse****.  The loading thing was noticeable, but subtle enough that it'd take you a moment to realize it was a trick, and once you made that realization, it's not nearly as irritating as rendering posts unreadable.

I noticed it, but figured out it was a prank, since I have my Firefox skinned and my real loading icon in tabs doesn't look anything like that. Still, jolly good show! I love the internet on 1 April.

i disagree, the unicorns and rainbows was epic, and dont you ever forget it, id even say the best april fools joke ever. this years joke seemed kinda meh, most likely when valathil posted his prank a tad early for those of us in the us (it was still the 31st over here), thus tipping us off to the upcoming fool fest. that said his prank was better than the offitial prank, which was meh at best, and didnt fool anybody.

Clear your cache.

In Chrome: Wrench > Settings > Under the Hood > Clear Browsing Data...  (under section "Privacy".  Then, select only "Empty the Cache" .. you can also tell it to only clear one week and that should do the trick).

In Firefox: Firefox {the menu on the top left} > Options > Options > Advanced > Clear Now (under section "Cached Web Content")

In IE: you gotta be kidding me what are you doing using IE... ok fine: Gear > Internet Options > Delete... (under section "Browsing History".  Then, select only "Temporary Internet Files").

Opera: google it I can't be arsed
