Let's see, Israeli standard:
Windows: Ground and first (or second, depending on your cultural background) floor windows have metal bars on the outsides. Basically any window that can be reached by a ladder is barred up.
Doors:

The door to the office where my friend works was recently locked by accident (I forget the whole story, why they didn't have a key and all), and the locksmith took 2 whole days to pick the friggin thing.
And they give a nice metallic thunk when they close.

Oh, and don't be fooled by that "for the entrance of heavily secured areas" part - those doors are in basically every building and apartment in Israel.
And, in typical Israeli craziness, they have those doors in the bathroom
stalls[/b] of a bowling alley in Jerusalem! I guess they've had pretty powerful, errr... explosions - in those stalls.
