I may not have anything to do renders with, but I think I'm a pretty good drawer nonetheless.  So a few of my works:

Note that some of these have been sitting around for a while, and the graphite is beginning to "bleed" a little.

1) a rushed pic of the GTVA Colossus and her battle group.  I apologize for it being on notebook paper.

2) remember Master of Orion?  I thought I might try to make a pic of one of those epic battles you fought every other turn...

3) Two ships: a Terran interceptor, and a Vasudan battlecruiser.  These I did based off of someone else's sketches some time back.  If they look familiar, lemme know.

If anyone's got their hand-drawn works, then by all means post them up.  And if you think you can make a real render off one of these sketches, go ahead.  I'd like to see what someone else can cook up here.

Gort, I've tried making backgrounds, and quite frankly the end result is disappointing to say the least.  Although I'll give it another try just to see if my skills have improved...

And everyone else, pick yer jaws up off the floor.  There are bigger, better artists out there than me.

One more that I've had stashed away:

Yea drawing backgrounds to sketches is no easy job I know... one way to do it is to just draw something... small... blurry... or just lines to create a space/room. For Spacepics it could be planets or nebula outlines... maybe

It's an un-named heavy fighter thing. the small thing next to it is a camera pod, which is needed because the ship has armored cockpits. (which open when needed) The thing on the right side of the ship (or left from our perspective) is the ... well, kinda of a gunner's pod or a secondary control. It can detach in an emergency. (hence the strange, disfigured, assymetrical design)

kinda still a wip....

Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman

Now only if someone could take those pictures and make actual renders from the game it would reallyu be awesome.
Nae, that would be sweet.
