Oh, I thought you were asking about my baby-eating preferences. As a European, I find homegrown organic babies the best, but Asian imports are becoming a lot more high-quality lately, much like electronics.

that is a phenomenon called a split lock.  Basically take a Mod or admin and introduce them to a thread with merit which is starting to go off the rails.  said admin/mod then get annoyed by said asshattery and split out the crap out of the thread into a new one and lock it as a reminder of what not to do.  It happens a lot in General Discussion and for the most part keeps things clean, threads operating in a useful manner and serves as a reminder to us all to BEHAVE.

Nakura: I think that if you want a place for general deposition and discussion of broad subject matters or reviews of your work, you would be better off in a more academic forum than this one.

In fact, I'd like to highly recommend that you google for some and post such things there in the future rather than here.

Current day events are one thing. Slight side trips down memory lane or nostalgia trips are expected. But this is more fitting to being addressed in an actual academic forum or a place more geared towards historical/history "what if" boards.

Whatever you may -prefer- if you are going to report a thread and then take action in a thread that deserves a warning, don't be surprised when you get one. In short, whether or not you agree with other people interacting with somebody, don't go making a mess out of the place over it.

Report, then -move on-, not carry on. Savvy? If not, I'll be more than happy to discuss it over PM.

And as a note for everybody: When using the "report post" feature, don't try to be "clever" or cute or engage in invisible ad hominem attacks in the report function, it's just annoying and might lead to you getting a warning, even if you are in the right for reporting what you are reporting, do all of us the favor of reporting it well.
