Anyway, the fact of the matter is I don't know how all that works, I never normally have need for such things.

Please upload them to a permanent host and edit your post to user image tags. It keeps the thread clean and uniform as IMG tags work nicer than attachments. Also, it's a good basic internet skill for you to learn. Check services like imageshack.
