For years i've had to stop playing any real games because i've been stuck with a netbook. It is quite capable, but only good at playing graphically intensive games like quake 3 at most. I found it more capable just using my old acer netbook as a non-gaming platform.
Then, i got and traded a pentium 4 extreme edition desktop for a screenless laptop. The screenless laptop was a compaq presario cq61-411wm with a sempron processor. I acquired it with a free athlon upgrade for the desktop (the pentium 4 extreme edition with a geforce 7600 gs card was way faster; i needed portability). Then i bought an empty husk with screen and a real battery. I transplanted all of this into the new case. Then the new processor came in. An amd turion II ultra dual core (i tossed this in). And now i feel at home again. The single core athlon wasn't too shabby, it would play fallout 3 (the 3d accelerator in this thing isn't too shabby). $14.95 for the processor, and $55 for the husk (the husk was quite complete with everything but, hard drive, ram, and battery; the new motherboard worked, but i tossed in my old one to stay safe).
But, now i can do some real stuff. Back to fs2, doing the latest content for this tonight in a nice big download via the torrent for mediavp's.
