Indeed this stuff is 100% natural. But, i like the comments in the article. It's people stretching their brains into the unknown. This is fascinating including what the article has to point out.

We've actually had 'direct' observation of cosmic filaments for ages, but via their absorption spectrum (Lyman-alpha forest).  What's interesting here is that this is the first case where we have observation of a filament by emission spectrum, thanks to the nearby quasar.

It probably just means the dark matter estimated mass in the universe can be downscaled (slightly)
