"Slay Ravana" (to the tune of "Sink the Bismarck")
To the tune of "Sink the Bismarck":

In January of 2367, the Second Incursion had just begun
The Shivans had the biggest destroyer, that had firepower second to none
The Ravana was the toughest ship that'd ever face'd the Allied fleet
On her prow were fangs as big as Fenrises and beams we couldn't beat

Out of the red and crackly nebula came the Terran ship the Delacroix
And every Terran crewman, he knew and was overjoy'd
They had to slay Ravana, the terror of the fleets
Stop those hangars full of Basilisks and beams we couldn't beat

[Chorus:
We'll find the Shivan destroyer that's makin' such a fuss
We gotta slay Ravana cause the Alliance depends on us
Yeah hit the flight decks a runnin' pilots and fire your bombs away
When we see the Ravana, then we're gonna slay her here today]

The Delacroix found the Ravana and on that fatal day
The Ravana started firing four kilometers away
We gotta slay Ravana was the battle sound
But when the debris had cleared away the mighty Delacroix went down
She'd invade our systems unless we stopped her then and there
Petrarch told his squadrons to put every bomber in the air
Cause it don't matter how much flak she sprays
We gotta slay Ravana, and slay her here today

[Chorus:
We'll find the Shivan destroyer that's makin' such a fuss
We gotta slay Ravana cause the Alliance depends on us
Yeah hit the flight decks a runnin' pilots and fire your bombs away
When we see Ravana, then we're gonna slay her here today]

The Ravens were scrambled, and they found her, red and black
Two jumps away from Gamma Drac, Ravana'd made its attack
Admiral Petrarch of the 3rd Fleet ordered bombs away
We found that Shivan destroyer and we're gonna slay her here today
The Terran Cyclopes were aimed and the bombs were coming fast
The first bomb hit Ravana; they knew she couldn't last
Our tech's superior and our Great War nemesis is beat
"Slay Ravana" was the cry that shook the fleet

We found the Shivan destroyer t'was making such a fuss
We had to slay Ravana cause the Alliance depends on us
We hit the flight deck a runnin' and we fired our bombs away
Yeah we found the mighty Ravana and then we slew her here today

We found the Shivan destroyer t'was making such a fuss
We had to slay Ravana cause the Alliance depends on us
We hit the flight deck a runnin' and we fired our bombs away
Yeah we found the mighty Ravana and then we slew her here today

"We have now reached the point where every goon with a grievance, every bitter bigot, merely has to place the prefix, 'I know this is not politically correct, but...' in front of the usual string of insults in order to be not just safe from criticism, but actually a card, a lad, even a hero. Conversely, to talk about poverty and inequality, to draw attention to the reality that discrimination and injustice are still facts of life, is to commit the sin of political correctness. Anti-PC has become the latest cover for creeps. It is a godsend for every curmudgeon and crank, from fascists to the merely smug."

Pretty good, though it could use a few rewrites to make some of the lines shorter.

Thanks!

Pretty good, though it could use a few rewrites to make some of the lines shorter.

I'm no songwriting expert, and it's hard to write lines that A: mostly fit the original, B: are FS-themed, and C: rhyme.

Re: "Slay the Ravana" (to the tune of "Sink the Bismarck")
One thing that might make it fit the tune a bit better is to alter "slay the Ravana" (5 syllables) to "slay Ravana" (4 syllables), so that it more closely matches "slay the Bismark" (4 syllables).

But very well done!
