Australia surprised me quite a lot, they played awesome football against Netherlands, it's a shame they've got to go.
Netherlands started showing some flaws against them, still they overcame those problems with their master players. I presume this will be a trending sight in their games from now on.
Also Spain gets to go early home, it seemed like they were oblivious to the fact they where out of the cup throughout the entire match.
Goodbye Spain, might you consider changing your playstyle now?
Australia went down swinging. If England were to get KOd tomorrow, that's the kind of fashion I'd hope they would go out in. Australia have played their part in enhancing the World Cup, and can hold their heads high.
And the Netherlands ought to have learned a valuable lesson here. They thought they just had to turn up. They were wrong, but they showed character to fight back from 2-1 down and take the 3pts, they showed a bit of what they showed against Spain, and should be all the better for the experience than if the game had been a stroll.
As for Spain, I don't think the style is the problem. They were just
bad. Something wrong there I think, they just seemed so apathetic. The Dutch fought their way back in, there was no fightback at all from Spain. A major rebuild might be on the cards, new, hungry players.
EDIT: Oh and...

That is assault.
