Provisional name GTVA Goliath.

The ship was designed several years after the orion but was only built recently.









The top is a bit flat but that shouldn`t be such a problem once it's turreted. I'm not 100% happy with the nose though. Any ideas for what to do with that to make it look better will be considered.

Almost every new cap ship I see with a fighter bay has it on the bottom... Wouldn't it be nice to have 2,3 fighter bays. For a change. Its more effective in battle as well if you are capable of launchin a multitude of fighters.

2 fighter bays : One on each side
3 fighter bays : One on each side + one on the bottom

I'd prefer to keep the current asymetrical design but there's no reason I can`t put another bay on the same side. I`ll look into it. Anything else?

It's very good, but looks to me like an over-large fighter or shuttle, rather than a juggernaught.

Yeah, but wEvil hasn't gotten around to any of the Obirian ships yet. (grumble grumble) so yours is the first one that's been modeled. :)

OC ships werent present at Polaris, all the ships that were need doing first.

ZN, OC ships would be needed for the TSI war tho, before Polaris. I mean, that's where Oberlin and Riggins are introduced.

It's a bit hard to spot in the untextured ship but the left is the fighter bay (orion like with a runway). The right will be a torpedo launcher.

Hmmm. I`ll have to rethink letting you have it (and the far more phallic GTC Styx) for Mind Games then :p

Edit: This is strange. I don`t like the nose of the ship but no one has commented on it. Maybe it's not as bad as I`m thinking it is :)

Truth be known, it looks like a modified Kushani Avatar Heavy Cruiser from Homeworld.

It looks pretty good, get rid of the notch on the front and the funky tail-fin and your good to go.

Also if that deck is the same size as the Orion's, that thing is frickin' HUGE!

Name it Thors Charriot :D or Thors hammer.... It kick ass... and add 2 big and flat turrets on the front. It wil look better :D

Nah. Don`t think it looks Asgard enough for that :) You might be right about the turrets though.

I never played homeworld very much so I`m not certain what they look like. The tail fin is actually the main engine block (the ship is a bit more rounded from behind than it actually appears in the picture). And as for it being big, that was the whole point :)

The history of the ship is that this was the first design for a GTVA juggernaut (that's why it has an older style like the orion) It was rejected because everyone thought it would take even longer to build than the competing colossus design. As for why it's been taken off the drawing boards and actually built, you`ll have to wait for my campaign..... :)
