Anyone from the Freespace community going to play Star Wars Galaxies? What will be your name and where will you reside (now that all nine planets have been named)?

I will be named Nic-Wan Brohal. I'm not sure what I'll be doing, but I'll probably be an explorer or a salesman or something. I want to live on Tatooine, but I'm thinking about one of the new ones now...

Aside from gameplay, the best thing about SWG is that the developers actually discus topics with the fans. Some game issues are only resolved by fan input on the boards.

Yup, I'm gonna play it! I'm not quite sure what I'm going to play as, but I'm thinking of something on the lines of Jedi for a while, then fall and then become a bounty hunter. If that doesen't appeal to me anymore, I might retire and start a bar or join the Empire and become a stormtrooper.

I gotta ask - can you train as a Jedi then become a Sith? Imagine an evolving Jedi/Sith war, that'd really rock.

Only those who are Force-sensitive can become Jedi, and that designation is random.  Some people will be force-sensitive, others won't.  As much as you may want to become a Jedi, odds are you'll never get the chance.

Eve looks like a cool game. Reminds me of this one game I beta tested called Jumpgate. But it got kinda boring after a while. With Galaxies theres more personalized stuff. Like running a bar...

Hey, Maybe I'll open one when the game comes out so if anyone from HLP ever buys the game and joins, they'll be VIP's and get 20% discounts.

That's not true, sorry. Unknown target is correct. It will be extremely difficult to become a Jedi, just like it is in Star Wars, and because of the point in the timeline that this game occurs, yes you will be hunted by the Emporer and Vader.

It's funny that all the non-extremist fans want to be Jedi Knights or bounty hunters...
But there's many more jobs available, like a dancer :wink: , a hairdresser and um... alright I can't think of any more at the moment, but there's plenty... I still want to be a Jedi, but I think for the sake of continuity and to prevent overpopulation of Jedi, I won't try to be one.

I think it would have been better your way, that's for sure... But that's just my opinion.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be a bounty hunter, I'm just saying a lot of people will want to be one, and you don't want overpopulation of bounty hunters...
