Ah, so that's what you fortunecity username and password are.

Don't just copy and paste things from the properties pop-up. Especially when using FTP.

The beam is wrong. Its the same size at the point of origin as it is at the point of impact, and that Ravanna looks like its at least 3k away....

Why does everyone keep using the in-game model of the Hecate?

The 'wings' are supposed to carry 3 double-barreled multi-part turrets on each side.  (3 on top, 3 on bottom, 6 per side).

I can understand why they pulled the Deimos' extra turrets off because of the funky way the engine doesn't like side-mount turrets, but why did they pull off the ones on the Hecate?

But at any rate it's a nice piece, the beam does have a thinness going on, but I think that's because of the angle and everything.

1)  I believe fighters are supposed to launch from those pads, and that's rather difficult when there's turrets in the way.

2)  Balance.  The Hecate's got a lot of turrets as-is...  Six more guns (twelve, if one weapon from each barrel) might be a little excessive for a ship its size.

3)  Quite frankly, they look like crap.  Who wants six swolen thumbs on your big, bad destroyer?  ;)

It is a good picture, but I'm going to have to agree that the beam should widen as it gets closer to the camera....  Unless you've made a funny, inverted-cone-shaped beam.  :)

The beam was drawn "by hand" and I kept it fairly thin because Shivan beams are always smaller (but more powerful) than Terran and Vasudan beams.  In ths case though I didn't get it quite right.

Anyone have any good suggestions as to how I could post images without having to bug HLP Admin staff every 5 minutes since my FTP folder isn't secure anymore?
