I have made a new ship...as I would do anything else...
Pics and backround of the ship you can find here Templar

It has about 890 polys and at the moment no turrets and textures. If someone would texture it I would give the model away. So its a simple exchange. I get it textured and who ever made the textures gets the model.

So any volunteers?

Wow - very nice design! I love it! If I had the time, I'd texture it, but I'm afraid that I wouldn't do it justice... :doubt:

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. I like the design, although I'm not quite sure which end is the front...

I think of the narrow end as being the front, personally, but I might be wrong, which is why I'm asking :)

 I like! The bridge structure in particular. Very nice. Too bad I can't texture.

What do you mean with to many flat surfaces? All the FS ships have flat surfaces, they just hide it better ^__^

Confused? Thats good, if looking keeps you from firing at it the design is better then every shildgenerator could be :-)

That ship has a fairly unique style going on. It's pretty cool.

I can`t really tell much about the ship. Can we have standard top, side and front prjections as well as the perspective one?

Why do so many renders contianing a star completely ignore the most prominent light source?  Those planets should be lit around the edges only, not from the direction of the view.

As for the ship, I like the design I think.  It's a little hard to figure out from the views presented; along with the front and top views, lets see a couple of perspectives showing off the underside/aft sections.  It looks like it has a lot of potential, at any rate.

The ship is great, but I looks Shivan to me, of course it needs textures, but I think it should be shivan.

Don't worry, it's just my opinion and I'm not sure of that, so It might be a terran-vasudan ship as well.

I don't think it looks Shivan at all. If I had to try and fit it with the stylings of a particular race I'd go with the Drakh from Babylon 5. I don't even see that fit as being perfect though.

With most ships I can spot a likeness and say "Looks like the Liberator" or "Looks like the Mega Shadow" pretty quickly. I can't do that with this one. Am I missing something anyone?

My guess is a terran vasudan hybrid, but it also looks like it could have a little shivan running through it`s veins;)
