I was just thinking of buying a brand new PC with 1,8 GHz P4 and 512 DDR RAM, Ge-Force 3 64MB and 80 GB HDD. Or should I perhaps geet a lap top with a bit lower specs.

Opinion please.

Laptops are expensive and not that good for gaming. If you travel a lot maybe then.
 
But GeForce4 Ti4200 is better option that GF3, and you can't find GF3's too (at least the originals, maybe you can find Ti200's)... :)
 
Radeon 8500 is a good option, too, being cheap and fast. Radeon 9000 is good, but slow for games which use multi-texturing.
