Sounds expensive to make, but no doubt it'll be useful for lots of specific items that people are willing to pay for.

I'd say the primary applications for this is gonna be bullet-proof glass and telescope lenses.

Nice to see an scientific advancement that can only be used for defensive and non-military purposes.
