When is 99 more than 100?
SERIOUSLY...! | {The Sandvich Bar} - Rhino-FS2 Tutorial | CapShip Turret Upgrade | The Complete FS2 Ship List | System Background Package

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

when you type the words?

'ninety-nine' has 11 characters including the hyphen while 'one hundred' has ten.  This is debatable if you count the space in between 'one' and 'hundred' as a character...which means my answer is probably wrong.
In God we trust.  All others must show data.

When the party says 99 is more then a 100, then it is only logical that 99 is more then 100, and 99 was never less then 100, thats absurd.

Does this have any thing to do with ice creams?

Aha! OK, in theory 99% of C is faster, since you can never actually reach C - and if you did you'd just be stuck there, what with time being all ****ed up. So going at 99% of C would appear to be faster.

Hur hur... I dun fysics

wait wait i got another one

if you convert 100 to binary, you get 01100100, add all the ones and you get 3. If you convert 99 to binary, you get 01100011, add all the ones and you get 4!... unless i screwed up my conversions.

So in Golf.. a score of 99 is worth more than 100

 ...  yeah don't forget about that classic golf rule.. if you go over 100, you automatically lose

question: does this have anything to do with speaking Hebrew?.. I am crap at hebrew.. haven't practiced in a looong time

Nope - nothing to do with Hebrew, Israel, or anything of the sort (might want to try asking that question over on that other "Guess it!" topic, though. ;) :p )

When/why did you study Hebrew?

I've also studied hebrew a while back when I still attended the Jewish school here. I was never any good at it though. The only word apart from hello I remember is "Sheket" which is (if I'm correct) "Quiet" or "Shut up" or something on that line...:D

Anyway, 99 is more than 100, because 99 inches is longer than 100cm? I'm just guessing here...
