My sister called me this morning, told me to come check out what was behind her clock in her room.

****, I've had something about that big in my room when I was very young, it was on the wall above my head when I woke up... but this one wasn't dead and pined to the wall...
freaked me out, and it's the second element that explains my fear of spiders today :shaking:

Well done, sir. You've made the world a better place. I really hate spiders, and to be honest paintballing's to good for them. Should have set the little ****er on fire :mad2:

You poor suckas...come to Estonia - our largest spiders are not more than 3 or 4 cm long. :p

I have no trouble with spiders, still kill 'em though.:drevil:

I remember once sitting and twirling in my fingers what I believed to be a small piece of straw out of a cushion. It turned out to be the leg of a spider I had smote a few minutes before!

Go to Yugoslavia and you will encounter big black bugs that schew on your skin as though as someone is stabing you with a niddle over and over again on the same wound. :shaking: Fortunately, I wasn't bitten by one of those but I killed them like sh**! :drevil: So far I killed about 157 of them. :drevil:
By the way we call those bugs Clintonke. They appeared for the first time in 1999.

Yup, I'm scared of tiny spiders and ****ing terrified of anything bigger than an inch or so. The one in the pic would probably cause me to have a heart attack, in all seriousness. I have a phobia of dogs as well, having been chased by a large labrador or something when I was about three... the dog thing I am pretty much over, although I don't like 'em much (cats rule). The spider thing, on the other hand, is a phobia which I never want to overcome - I really really hate spiders and never want to like them, ever. Evil bastard devil spawn ****ers. Anything with four times as many legs as me gets shot at, quite frankly.

were you able to dispose of that one or is it still on the wall? and what are those claw things on the front of it?

The main things I encounter in my house are ants, which are easy to kill but come in swarms of hundreds, and sometimes crickets and millipedes. The biggest spider I remember seeing around here was one about 4x3 inches in the basement, but that was nearly ten years ago.

Yeah, I had a house spider about that big. Thin little bugger, but stupidly long legs that wouldn't even fit under a pint glass during capture efforts. When I saw it in a corner of my room I froze solid before creeping to the door and legging it downstairs. Luckily my dear old mum managed to catch it and dump it a long, long way away from the house :)

You know what else I hate? Daddy Long Legs, aka the cranefly. Looks like a spider, but it flys. Little bastards :ick

Unfortunately, it's fast approaching spider season over here. I shall be keeping my Desert Eagle gassed and loaded with a full clip of paintballs near my bed, with a back up of somesort in case there's a spider on the Eagle
