I have finally talked my parents into getting the broadband! For the past few weeks I have been spending longer on the net, so when the phone bill came I could say, "Look how much we'd save if we got broadband" And it has worked!

The only problem is that when I get the fat pipe, I will never, EVER leave the house again! I will be constantly playing all sorts of nefarious games online, and will probably be permanently logged in here!

I do that on my 56k now Goes along fine at about 2 kb/s

You think. I played online all of five minutes before you realise most people use the anonimity of online gaming to act like complete arseholes. Which is why it's best to make a clan or something so you play regularly against people you like.

Tell me about that. On JK2 servers people just use 3 moves. Kick, Pull and backstab. That's all. I played it a lot before, but now it really really sucks. Not to mention how limited dictionary they have. Of course limited to words which I dont want to mention on this forum.

Also, even I have broadband, so it's not like it's a big deal. You practically get a DSL modem free at the bottom of your cereal box these days. It's like memory was two years ago, at least out here.

I used to have ADSL till the new year. Now i had to move to another town because of my mother's job and where I live right now, I don't have ADSL coverage so I am stuck with 56k since ISDN isn't worth it.

Yeah. It sucks. I can only play on few servers. But it also iritates me that some people use ultra high speed connections (HIGH S BB, D t3 etc...) for internet chat and such crap which doesn't even require a 36k modem while we, who need Net for serious downloads and uploads are stuck with 56Kers.

I am offended! Not really... But:

1). I am not a teenager...
2). When I host a UT server I don't kick unless your ping gets higher then 500 (unless there are like 16 with 250 and really lagging everyone) or if you get truly offensive.

Usually my Double T3 prevents lag
