Heh, with this connection they'll never catch me! unless the have a CO-48 with a 2.6Gbps downstream connection.

Free Terran, you need to put the 'Other' option into polls. Not everyone falls neatly into that list. Take, for example, me. 64k Single-line ISDN. Not much better than a 56k, except it's around twice as fast on average because of the reliability surrounding digital. And it doesn't use up the phone line :) I would get ADSL or something, but I live in a backwards area of a fairly backwards country (england), so... No availability. It'd be cheaper than this ISDN, too :'(

It's okay, I'm just saying, in future polls you can list the major types, as you have here, then add an 'other' option so that people like me with irregular stuff can slot in. You don't necessarily need to list everything every time. There isn't enough space.

Erm, it's just a question... but my next system has enough hard drive space to store the internet on it... what kind of connection would you call a system that doesn't take any time to download anything because no real downloading takes place? Heck - even the file planet ques are gone.

I still have crapy cable connection. I want ADSL but my mom doesn't want to pay 4 euro's more! 4 ****ing euro's! I can pay that but even then she refuses.

:blah: What really annoys me is that half a mile in any direction and you can get DSL. Can you here? No. It really would be too dificult just to have anything more than 56k here wouldn't it. :rolleyes:

what provider?

cable isn't that bad, most poeple i know are on 56k or ISDN, or budget ADSL from KPN, those poeple are of a lot wurse.

i'm on chellomyself, wich is reasnoable, but don'tgtet me started about the upstream capabiltys.

1500/128k cable. I would like something better (especially since the upstream is terrible, used to be 384 a long time ago but was cut to 128 when @home went out of business) but I cannot get anything else in this area.

I guess if I need to download or upload something really big I could go to my dad's workplace and use the double OC10 there, but I obviously can't use it on my home computer, so it is useless for gaming.

My situation for DSL is the worst; the guy across the street from me can get it while I cannot. :p
