The Matrix Reloaded (Review Thread)
You people don't find it at-all odd that the Matrix is getting more and more violent as the story progresses? Or that Neo starts out as a sleepy hacker? Or that it's filled with minute plot-holes? Or that they've completely ignored that 'time-skip' thing when the Matrix changes after the cat incident?

God, you're idiots.

If the Matrix ends up as anything other than Neo asleep at his computer after having cheated like **** on some Terminator (or as some horrific joke, he's dreaming an alternate perspective of ETM) game, I'll be VERY surprised.

Yeah, They could fix those better. When playing as ghost, Niobe can't drive for ****. And when playing Niobe, Ghost can't shoot for ****. And while driving as Niobe its quite hard to control the steering with a mouse. And the whole Logos level was a bit redundant. Being a gunner it wasn't really anything but point at the swarm and fire. But driving it was more like, keep going forward and shoot. And the level played out WAY too fast for me. It was like on some turbo speed. If it would have been slower and alot more detailed then it would have rocked. Oh well. Still love the kung fu.

I wish I was more like you. I enjoyed every minute of the Matrix films, I really wish I'd been able to sit there picking holes in it instead.

Yeah, they kick ass. But there's all these little niggly things that seem like plot-holes but are almost certainly set-ups for the grand finale where they go "Gee, it was all a dream".

personally i thought the driving sections were 'tacked on' the game woulda been better if they bothered 'fleshing out' the main portion of the game, as well as the story....

Who do you think launched the nukes and thus were the first to be slaughtered by the machines?

You got it. White people.

So while Africa was tunneling down into the Earth, all of Europe, America and Australia was being over-run by self-aware killing machines.

Also, hasn't anyone noticed that virtually everyone hooked up to the matrix are as white as the Borg in ST?

Guys, white people made the machines, white people nuked the Earth, black people escaped under-ground, machines enslaved the white-people, the black-people founded Xion, the white-people ****ed it by letting Neo make the choices.

Did anyone else besides me catch one of the most biggest and yet most irrevelant discontinuities?

Think back to M1 - Neo's been released from the Matrix, and is undergoing operation to remove many of those plugs, right? Remeber when Dozer (?) is dropping the plugs into that tub of water with the big tweezers? Those were Neo's spinal cord plugs.

Fast forward to the sex scene between Neo and Trinity. At the very end, the camera moves away from their intertwined bodies, and we see, clear as can be, a line of plugs along Neo's spine.

Glitch in the Matrix? :p

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

everyone had plugs all over them throughout both movies, like on there hands and ****, I'm not sure the holes were fixed maybe just some part of a conector that might cause infection or something was removed, but I'm sure there was something left in there.

anyway, what is suposed to happen in the next one?

yea thats pretty much right.  africa wasnt overrun until the very end because they kept stealing the parts and fuel the machines needed to run.  but it wasnt cause they were trying to stop the machines. no sir, it was cause they could stop stealing.  thaTand the fact that they were to high off skunk to care what was happening to the world
