I think its quite unimpressive if you have a sword you can't even get of the ground

In real life I prefer Katanas over any (hand-to-hand) weapon. And prefferably not one with all kinds of things on it like ivory and stuff. Just a simple plain, black handle and cover with a light razor sharp blade.

[color=66ff00]I'm a fan of the traditional chinese broadsword but I need a great deal of practice using one, swords and knives are all very good but in the end I'd have to use my hands as preference to any weapon. Hands are the most versatile weapon.
