Soon, my pretties. As soon as I can free up some HDD space... that 24mb MVE took up over 500Mb as an AVI before I compressed it with DivX. ;)

Yeah... or at least, the FS1 MVE format has. I haven't tested it on FS2 MVE's - don't know if they're different - but I'll be able to test it in about 36 hours, after I get my FS2 CDs back. :)

Excellent... :yes:

I think I remember reading somewhere that the FS and Descent games all use the same MVE format, so it probably should work with FS2 as well.

I wonder what will happen then if I flip the MVE directive in the FS1/FS2 Linux Makefile to "true" and recompiled...

(Good thing I made my /home partition 80Gb...)

Update: Both FS1 and FS2 compile alright but placing the movies in the same directory as the .vp files etc doesn't do anything. I'm not quite sure what that means yet...

How far removed is the MVE format in FS from that used in Descent 2?
