OK. I don't want to spoil the thread by making it all political (thus sparking another vicious bout of arguing), but I think I have to say this: While Arnie is stinking rich, meaning he's less likely to be bought by some evil fatcat, he's way too similar (politically) to the big
W for my liking - he's a neo-con. (Me being a leftie, that automatically brings him down in my estimation,but I'll leave that aside). Also, he's been living the high life for thirty-odd years, which means that he probably isn't exactly clued-up on most of the issues that the average Californian is concerned about.
Having said that, I think (and hope) that he'll win, because he's probably the best candidate for the job. All the other Republicans are scheming corporate scum (not true, but that's what it seems like), and the Democrats are either too spineless to make any changes, or are just liberal Republicans.

My ideal candidates would be Serj Tankian and Tom Morello (see Axis of Justice in the siggy) - they'd sort things out pretty sharpish...
