well, to be honest i'm awaiting HL2 as much as the next gamer, but if anyone is playing around with half life two source, you're playing with what's basically stolen goods... the people who stole the code are nothing more than ****tards who get off on doing such thing just to inflate the pathetic little egos, and the fact that some people are playing with the HL2 source is supporting further attempts from said ****tards to attempt to do the same.... i mean, wouldn't you all be angry if you put such hard work into something not only to have it filched by some ignorant bastard who has little patience or brains...

i've made my point very clear, it's wrong to steal other people's hard work, it's also just as bad to be basically advocating that theft by using it for one's own personal use and showing it off... this is the reason that HL2 has been delayed....

okay, i was just making my point, since it IS the beta, which i assume is legal, talk away..

Well as you can see - and it goes without saying - the graphics are very impressive. However since it's not the final game code I couldn't safely say how it'll run on my machine. Things seemed smooth enough at times but slowed to a crawl at others... I imagine thats un-optimised sections and so forth... I'm beginning to think my graphics card is a tad long in the tooth as well since it's not DX9 compliant (and I gather you get the best results on this game with a DX9 compliant card).

Ho hum.. more upgrades next year I guess! Can't wait for the game to come out mind you.

Bleh, HL... ****tards on MP... Not worth my money even if the game itself rocks. I'll be buying a nice RPG like FFXI to play online. Those ****tards find those games too 'wimpy' so they don't come there

ZylonBane - it was attached as a file - if I knew how to make post attachments into lvlshots I'd do it without a second thought.

It's times like that that make me wish AI didn't notice grenades.. it's like the staple diet of screenshots on forums - stupid AI that doesnt see obvious threats!
