I've got tickets to teh 12:01 AM show... on Wednesday morning... which means there's 33 hours left.  and i can't wait.

Lesee... they're showing the first 2 here Wednesday afternoon / evening, with teh 3rd showing Wed/Thur midnight. But I'm not going to that showing.

Instead, this Saturday, a bunch of friends of mine are getting together, We're borrowing an LCD projector, my brother's 4.1 Logitech Z-KickASS speakers, and the extended DVDs of the first 2 movies. After that mind-blowing experience, we all are going to catch #3 in theaters that evening.

I'm a bit scared of going in. I liked Fellowship but was annoyed by Towers. So this one will make or break the trilogy (God I hate calling it that)

as evidenced by the unhealthy amount of ROTK threads I've posted in the last few days, no, I can't.

Oh, and DG, as much as I disagree with you on TT being annoying, I think you'll be happy to know, that Rotten Tomatoes gives ROTK a 100% fresh rating. It's 28 reviews in, and not one of them is rotten. That includes some of the biggest TT and FOTR bashers yet.

And even if it ain't all that (even though it will be all that), it still can't beat the level of crappiness that was Matrix Revolutions.

Matrix Revolutions was utter crap. And ROTK is getting some Über reviews. In the New York Post or something a critic just said that it can now take its place with Lawrence of Arabia, Gone with the Wind, and all the other great classics. Yep, I know I wont be dissapointed.

My contract with Cisco ended last friday and I'm not looking to get a job until January. Meanwhile, my wife is going to chuck a sicky and we're going on Thursday morning while most sane people are at work or in class.

yeah, well i prefer to go see it the first day or two, because you're with fans, fans who share the same anticipation as you, and there's a bad side of going to see the show a few days/weeks after it comes out:  You'll be disturbed by the kids and babies that start yelling and crying during the movie, whereas the first day or two it's only going to be fans, who will keep quiet during the good parts of the movie, and only yell/cheer at acceptable parts.

i dunno, it's all part of the fun going and standing in line

i think im going a week or two after it comes out with steak, if we ever get our acts together. he's going on a beach mission and i'll be out of sydney for christmas. it sounds majorly majorly cool. and yes, i agree, it'll be better than matrix revolutions, if only because most things would be. not that revolutions was that bad... just a bit of a let down... hopefully rotk won't be.
