Today: I have two assignments (Maths, Software) and one 30 minute presentation (Education) due in university next week, and I haven't really started on any of them. I'm so stuffed, just got no time to do stuff anymore. :sigh:

Was the TV on at the time?

fortunately, my major scar (from driving a big tipper truck into a wall and cracking open me noggin) is hidden by hair.....  Although i have a bit on the back of my head where the hair was burnt off when i was a baby...... which is incredibly bloody annoying as everyone except me can see it.

"Why's there a hole in your hair?"
"What hole?"
"There...."
"Where?"
etc.

[color=66ff00]THe reason I asked Setekh was that you should check the bridge and nut for any sharp edges, make sure the string slots on the nut are not too tight (gripping the strings) and make sure that the angle from where the string leaves the peg hole to where it hits the top of the bridge is not excessive. Both can cause string breakage. Then again if it doesn't happen too often it's nothing to worry about.

I don't know if the TV was on at the time aldo. As for the 'he's too strong' bit... you wouldn't like me when I'm bleeding... ;)

Yeah... :) Later I found out that the strings had wound up super-tight because they'd gone from a hot to cold very quickly (dropped 15 degrees in a couple of hours, it was a crazy day). I hadn't tuned up when I began playing, and so I didn't realise how much tension they had in them - then I started playing quite loudly, and it snapped. Lesson well learned. ;)

Well, tomorrow I have a day off uni because it's Good Friday, but I actually would have had a day off anyway - because I take Fridays off on my timetable. So I don't end up getting that extra holiday. :p Well, that's a pretty weak reason, but it has to be, because my day's going pretty well right now. ;)

I've had one snap on me before, except I had my hand across them, so the damn thing tore my hand open...

I've seen that happen a few times. It's funnier when it's not me.

Heh, how many of us are guitarists actually? Seems to be quite a few...

Well, I can play the Guitar, Bass Guitar, Sitar, Tabla drums, Kaiko Drums ( though not for too long, you wouldn't believe how much those things hurt!), various other palm-drums, keyboards, Indian pipes (a bit) and I can also get a squeak out of other reed instruments. But then, I have an instrument fetish ;)

Yikes. Those are some pretty heavy reasons there. Glad to hear you're safe now, though... that is, unless the guy's still driving and chasing you... :shaking:

All I've gotta say is that even though tomorrow's Saturday, I have to wake up at 7:30am. Gahhh, my poor weekend...

Ack! You're the third HLPer I've recently heard to have a serious health problem. Hope you recover, HIG. :)

Man, I turned on the TV today, and straight away I just heard about the bomb in Basra, and the train in North Korea. The world's a shocker. :(

Can I claim forth? When I was born I suffered from inturn on both my feet - it meant several months in and out of hospitals up to my early teenage years - strangely I then went on to win the 100m races on several sports days ;)

Admittedly it's not current.

Todays reason to frown? Slight hangover and it's an amazingly sunny (for England anyway) day outside. I'm at work now. Go figure.

Yowch, Kal. Well, glad you've gotten effective treatment for that.

Heh, on the note of weather, the Winter is starting to set in over here - it's getting colder, but nothing like England. ;)
