Oni was cool, although I never felt that I was 100% in control of the fighting system

If you like RTS games then try Rise of Nation excellent RTS one of the best I've seen. Especially the nice nuclear explosion effects.

Edit:

Do not get Zuma! I only have one word: addiction! You have been warned! :mad2:

So right and so wrong at the same time...

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri is a triumphant, incredible, perfect 4X game. Everyone should have this game. Even if you don't like the style, you should have THIS one.

X2-The Threat: The only threat here is that you might spend your hard earned cash only to discover that the game is so bad that some one needs to be brought up on criminal charges for allowing it to be released. I mean really: this game should be banned under one of the Geneva Conventions.
[I am not really here. This post is entirely a figment of your imagination.]

If you got a really good comp, you might be able to handle Halo's insane memory overusage.

C&C Generals kicks ass.
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

Replay Total Annihilation, I just dug my copy out and I can't stop playing it.

Haegemonia. It's a Homeworld-style RTS. Demo didn't impress me much but I found a copy for fairly cheap, and it's a damn fun game. Other great games are any in the Legacy of Kain or the Silent Hill series, and the new Prince of Persia game.

*coughs and repeats HEPT cannon*

X2 the Threat isn't nearly as bad as people make it seem. Freelancer, which was supposed to be in the same genre, was good, but the economic system in there was static. There are many reasons why X2 is better than FL (I won't list now, even though FL has the advantage of having MP as a possibility), but one thing you can't deny is that the X2 universe is more alive than that in any Elitoid.

Granted, the character animations (barring commlink screens) are horrible, and the story is far from revolutionary, but considering it's meant to be an open game you don't really need the plot, unless you really need those freebies like the free ATS Mercury or the equipment off that ATP Express. Besides, it's one of the rare that lets you be a bounty hunter in the fullest sense - kill the pilot and scavenge the ship. :hopping:

Anyhow... of the other games, I'd recommend Total Annihilation, Alpha Centauri (incl. Alien Crossfire), Unreal Tournament (the first one/GOTY), Morrowind, Need-4-Speed Underground... maybe even both the Battlezones.
A Seth is a terrible thing to waste. The reverse applies for Shivans.

[color=66ff00]Found Deus Ex 2 to be uninspiring, played it for about 2 hours.

Silent hill is just the same old game with better graphics each sequal so if you haven't played it before get a PSX and the first one but the sequals are just timid rehashes.

On advisement I've been playing the hell out of Hostile waters, kicks arse and is quite challenging. Bought it for £2 as well so good on that point too. :)

Ever played any of the old Xcom games? They're bloody great.
