I just wasted 3 hours downloading an ep of Enterprise. I say wasted because I right-clicked, Open With, DIVX, Click.

Nothing. Not just nothing, it actually destroyed the file. No 'into the recycle bin'. No 'moving it accidentally'. It's just gone. Completely and utterly.

I'm guessing you've searched the PC, right clicked to undo last action and all the usual crap?

Get yourself a copy of PC File Inspector, scan the drive and try to recover it?

Normally ScanDisk is pretty good at grabbing 'missing' stuff but I tried to run it and Windows started *****ing at me about not being able to run it while in Windows.

I had this happen to me on a Mac with Ilustrator files, but I've never heard of it on the PC.

Windows killed my My Pictures folder t'other day. Wasn't in the bin, wasn't any where else. It was just gone. Luckily I had a recent back up...

Try MP Classic, it's smaller and faster than just about any other media player out there and will take all the codecs WMP does, it even plays WMA and WMV files if memory serves.

I redownloaded it. I watched half of it. The laptop cut out because it was overheating. I rebooted. I played the file again. It kicked up an error. It removed the file again.

Normally I'd just be annoyed, but my back hurts, my head hurts, I feel sick and I'm tired. I may just cry.

In short, while I love it *beedybeedybeedy*, Buck Rogers is in name only.
