Just came back from a car show.  The biggest in Houston apparently, with over $80,000,000 in cars and a few boats.  Mostly classics, except for the "exotics" such as vipers, lamborghinis, ferraris, porsches, lotus, hot-rods, etc. which were all brand new.  i got about 30 photos, which i'll post here soon.  It's held annually, right outside the NASA space center, by the bay  :D :)

Anyone heard of a Ferrari Enzo?  The million dollar + most powerful, fastest, and most expensive car Ferrari ever made? (only 399 built if i remember correctly) well i got to sit inside a 2004 Enzo.  it was amazing.  the guy closed the door, and all outside noise was suddenly gone, it was dead quiet, completely soundproof, it was amazing.

anyway, the show was amazing.  almost every well-known classic car you can imagine was there, from rolls-royce, buick, bentley, maserati, bugati, cadillac, lincoln, and many, many more.

Strictly Mitsu here. Unless there was a sweet 3kGT, Evo, or an FTO GPX/GP Version-R, I doubt I'll be interested.  Then again, post pics! :D

oh i will.  i don't have a digital camera, so i used two spools of film on the camera, i'm having the film developed tomorrow ;)

I know, most people love new cars more, but you've got to respect the older classics too.  It's much more impressive seeing a well-restored car than looking at a new car any day i think.

I had one of those 'project cars' once. Me and my dad were going to restore a 1969 Ford Mustang Convertable. But we ran out of freetime, and sold it. Shame, it was a nice car, and it had a very rare motor swapped into it. :doubt:

Give me a Jaguar E-Type and I'll be a damn happy man. For a newer classic I could easily enjoy a TVR.

Was this the National Auto Expo? I think it was in NYC a few weeks ago. Too bad I missed it. I would have liked to see some of the concept cars.

nono, this wasn't a big, publicized show, although there were cars from all over the United States there, it was a mostly local show.  classic cars, except for the exotics.

Kinda want one of those new Chrysler Crossfires, they're slick and techy.(When you reach highway speeds a spoiler raises in the back and lowers back down when you slow down. Very Spiffy!!)
So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

There are only 10 types of people in the world , those that understand binary and those that don't.

The Crossfire is meant to be crap - priced way above the performance you get from it. And as for the Enzo.... :ick:  I hate Ferrari cars. They scream "wanker!" about the driver, and the red they use is foul. Gimme a Bugatti Veyron any day. Faster, looks better, not a Ferrari :D
That or a TVR Tuscan, Toyota Supra or a Vauxhall VX220 Turbo...

There's like 3 of them in the downtown area where I work and live.  U know what I saw on the road on the weekend?  A friggin lamborgini murcielago.  I didn't even think they were sold here.  My jaw dropped and I got a little moist.  The guy could be no older than 30.

What sucks is that around here the roads are uneven so having a car like that is a nightmare.  The guy was inching his way over railroad tracks that made me wanna cry.

EDIT:  And the Boxster sucks.  Never has Porsche reduced their pride by so much to sell a value car.

The stock Boxster, yes. The Boxster S on the other hand is not so cheap.

I think they'll be willing to customize it for you if you ask. Heck, I heard they'll even throw in a bullet proof chassis, cloaking device and unscrachable paint for just a extra billion bucks. :D

*pats his Fiesta 1 litre*.

Well it gets me from A to B... that said a guy down the read owns a Marcoss. I don't need an alarm clock anymore, I just wait for him to start the engine - wakes me up every time.

It's the one closest the camera... same color actually. I hate him.

Ah, the Marcoss. Looks cool, always loses at the 24H of Le Mans :p

Two weeks ago, I went to a restaurant, and obviously there was a Maserati meeting held there. Lots of cool cars from 1960 to today :)
