counterfeit money.

It is greater than God and more evil than the devil. The poor have it, the rich need it, it will bring dead people back to life, and if you eat it, you'll die. What is it?

Nothing. Nothing is greater than God, nothing is more evil than the devil, the poor have nothing and the rich need nothing, and if you eat nothing you will die.

(Note: I disagree with the god part :p)

My turn:

A woman has 7 children, half of them are boys.
How can this be possible?

EDIT: Damn you all for beating me to it!

What walks on 4 legs in the morning, 2 legs during midday and 3 legs at dusk?

It's quite an old one and was in an old Greek myth as poeple who studied Greek mythology will know.

A Human :p If I didn't know that one I wouldn't be much of a history teacher :p

-Morning stands for the early years in our life where we crawl on all fours.
- Midday stands for the time when a person learns how to walk.
- Dusk stands for when we grow old and need a cain of sorts to walk (a third leg).

:)

Ow, and it isn't Ancient Greek mythology, it's Egyptian mythology. This riddle is called 'The Riddle of the Sphinx'. Though similar Greek riddles do exist.

Ow, I know all about mythology (one of my favourite subjects :)). And as I said, there are similar Greek riddles. It's just that the one from Ancient Egypt is considered the original.

Think of words ending in -GRY. 'Angry' and 'hungry' are two of them. What is the third word in the English language? If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is.
