ah, here we go, anybody remember this kind of arguement?.. it's like the old "star trek vs Star wars" arguements..

anyway, like i said, apples to oranges, or, in this case.. Platformers to FPS's yes, there is a metroid prime and a sequel, but, the sequel doesn't look like anything revolutionary..
nintendo doesn't genuinely have a FPS pedigree like bungie has, yes, i am aware of the few FPS's for the nintendo consoles, but they weren't made by nintendo..

all that's said and done, at the end of the day, Metroid and halo are two completely different games, with different histories and followings..
so let's not get into a massive arguement about which is better.
'cause you've obviously never really played halo on the Xbox, nor have i played metroid on the 'cube.

Actually, I've played both
I still think Samus would get owned.
I'm not saying I dont like Metroid. Its a decent game, but lets see her take on The Covenant, the Flood and Giulty Spark and its cronies, while still managing to blow up a ringworld at the same time.

Remember: Samus has survived the destruction of how many planets? Has fought off more more dangerous alines in more giant alien hordes on more worlds than Master Chief ever heard of.

Lets put it this way: Samus' biggest, baddest enemy (the Metroids, in their various forms) would eat anything in Halo for dinner. And Samus whips their asses.

Samus wields small thermonuclear devices. Which she can stand in the middle of and survive. I think she's safe, Turnsky. As for the buttstock? well, hers is kinda built in.

Now, Link, there's an interesting matchup. But anyone who has ever played SSBM knows that Link is a pansy little elf boy. Samus routinely hands him his own guts on a platter.
