it looks like a borg sphere, but with a gyroscope circling around it.

and this brings up a interesting point I've thought about a few times recently, has anyone else noticed that the sphere ***** looks/sounds/acts one full hell of a lot like the borg queen, right down to the shape of her cloths (that whole v-neck thing with little hook like things comeing off it)

Slight problem with that:

1. BQ is dead, Janeway killed the Collective.
2. BQ wouldn't need to alter the structure of Spacetime.
3. BQ would've just assimilated the Xindi and kept going.

he's not suggesting that its the borg queen, he's merely pointing out the lack of creativity.

we don't know that. sector 001 was destroyed, but that doesn't mean the borg are gone, just weakened. plus the borg queen has been killed many times. they seem to just keep making new ones.

#1 is eliminated if we assume that Enterprise actually takes place in the parrallel universe featured in Mirror, Mirror.

So, instead of leading to the creation of the Federation, like everyone has been led to believe, Enterprise will lead to the creation of the Klingon-esque Terran Empire?

But he's getting badder and badder.

I think the thing about the Guardian being the BQ isn't likely. It's incredibly unlikely the Sphere Builders evolve into the Borg, as the Borg are supposed to be at least old enough to exist as the Collective at the time of the Phoenix launch (because the drones on Ent-E tried to contact them).

But it's possible something.....unfortunate happens to the Guardian and she ends up being assimilated.

Still, the Borg designation for Humans is 6***, and the highest species number we hear in Voyager is a 9000 number. The Voyager Queen was from 125, IIRC. So the Borg probably don't encounter mankind or anyone with tactical knowledge of them till they assimilate the Raven.

I wasn't sudgesting they were one and the same, just pointing out the similarity, though it could posably be cool if somehow she got assimilated, if the queen was from #125 then there was quite a few borg around and operateing before she was assimilated.

Not necessarily, I for one, do not believe the Borg were always as nuts about "Perfection" as they are/were(depending on your interpretation of events at the end of Voyager).

There was an episode of Voyager, where they discovered a bunch of cryonically stored people and when they woke them up and were bringing them up to date on current regional events, they(the cryopeople were surprised to learn that the Borg had overrun much of the quadrant, because they only had a few planets only a few centuries before.

I wonder why do the Ferengi have such a low species number.

By the way, what species had the "good luck" of becoming known as species 1? :D

how exactly would she do that? just because she's good with languages doesn't mean she can decipher what is probably a several quadrillion digit code.
