Same here, and then I found out. You have to admit that Turey's is much easier.

Re: A celebration of Freespace
Only if you succeed with relative ease.  Imagine if you are a complete newb / n00b when it comes to computers: you either have no clue, or don't want to; you just want to FREAKING PLAY THE GAME, and you can't understand all of the arcane (to you) instructions, half of which are outdated.  Should such people be excluded from being able to play FS:SCP?  :p

Re: A celebration of Freespace
I knew (almost)nothing about computers(I primarily was a console player)but I did it all by myself. Without The FAQTM, however, it wouldn't have been possible.

Re: A celebration of Freespace
That requires that you find the FAQ, buried in its little corner in a sub-menu at the top of the screen.

I never knew that the FAQ existed until about four months ago.

[22:29] <sigtau> Hello, #hard-light?  I'm trying to tell a girl she looks really good for someone who doesn't exercise.  How do I word that non-offensively?

Wow, a living FS forum!  :jaw:  I have seen so many Freespace\Freespace 2 websites die I did not know any existed any more.  It is so good to see one still around and kicking.   :)

Four or five IIRC... check out the "External Sites..." link on top of this page.

And, if no one else has done so, allow me...

The first time I found out about the SCP I torrented the .ISOs.

It was the first site about FS2 I knew.
I kept seeing it in kara and (Mobius's?) signatures and it was like "CLICK ME CLICK ME ZOMG CLICK ME!!! I ignored it for a while and then just broke down. I am weak.

EDIT: That Fenris looks better than the current one. Although he does have 15 FPS in that shot.
