Cataclysm is the only one I don't own, mainly for the reason it doesn't work with XP and my computer for some reason. :(
I won't spoil the ending of Homeworld2 for you, but there are just some stupid things that they tell you about, which gives you the impression your supposed to know but have heard no mention of it in previous games...
But again, Homeworld2 was deadlined by publishers, so its a pity they didn't have time to get the story on at least a par to Homeworld1. :(

I don't really like Counter Strike either, its probably more repetitive as the circumference of a circle. :p

I enjoyed the story in Halo the game, it was afterwards I read some of the books and backstory...
On a side note, one of the big upgrades in Halo2 is the cinematics, they said there is no comparison between the slap together ones in Halo1 to the theatrical cinematics in Halo2.
Here's hoping it turns out to be true! :D

i think it's because bungie had more time to flesh halo2 out than halo1, 'because there wasn't a console release hanging over their heads, most likely.. :p

Indeed.

Plus with the success of the first, they gained the power to say 'Its done when its done' to their puplishers they can give it more of a polishing touch. :D

I'll agree with that, while I really enjoyed Cataclysm, it didn't have the emotion of Homeworld 1.

As I said with Halo 2, I'll look into it if they ever make a PC version, but won't bother with the console version - even if I wanted to I simply can't afford an Xbox, and I'm useless with console FPSes anyway.

I don't think I've ever had hatred towards the bad guys as much as I did in Ninja Gaiden. :p
Have you beat it on hard, or very hard yet? I've been trying hard, but think I might play through in Normal again to practice...

Oh man, I totally agree. The first incarnation of Alma was particularly infuriating. But I still loved that game - I was raised up on the original series. Awesome stuff. ;)

I did try Very Hard briefly, as soon as it was unlocked. After dying at the hands of a few White Ninjas in Ninja Fortress at the start of the game, I quickly gave up. Still, I really enjoy giving it a bash after a long day at uni. Nothing quite as satisfying as cutting monsters up with sweet sword combos. :D

Indeed.

What's your favourite weapon?

The Dragon sword seems to stick the most with me. But its still fun everynow and then to whip out the good 'ol Vigoran Flails and bash up some Fiends with a 70 hit combo. ;) hehehe.

Kudos to you Holy Imperial Gloriano, I don't think I'll ever get that far.

You must be very fluid with the controls. Takes much concentration from me just to fight off a few guys without taking a hit. :p

Tairon Under Alert? Oh no, I'm terrible at that level. All the Vigoorian soldiers do to me is impale and explode me. :ick:

Yeah, I used to go for the Dragon Sword myself - it does have some truly worthy combos - but just to be different, I like equipping the Armlet of Tranquility (gives you health slowly) and using the Kitetsu (takes away your health slowly). When you split it into two swords, it just looks awesome sometimes. ;) Apart from that, I'm still working on having enough money to get all the upgrades for the Wooden Sword - I mean, it's gotta get decent when it's level 6, right?

Something special happens when you get a fully upgraded Wooden Sword, but I can't remember where I read it...

I heard something about 'successive mode' which gave me the impression you can continue playing after beating the game... but I beat it on normal and can't see anything. Did either of you guys spot this?

No, I didn't. I do know that if you stay on the same level of difficulty (i.e. normal, after beating it on normal), your golden scarab count continues on from last game - but apart from that, I don't know how to active that sort of thing either. It'd be fun, though, destroying Brown Ninjas with 8-move combos. ;)

Yeah, I reckon.
One fellow, said that after you complete the game you can actually use the Dark Dragon blade to deal out the pain. I'm all cut up about this now. :(

I'll have to have a little snoop around in the game, and on the web and see what I can dig up...

Oh, yeah, I know how to do that. Not that I have. ;) You've gotta play through the game a second time and get all the way to Chapter 13... then you can find the blade somewhere around Ninja Fortress. Crazy. ;)
