here's something no matter who you vote for
Even as a child I never liked the point of electoral votes.  If there are 32 million people in state then that is 32 million votes PERIOD!, if this makes some states unbalanced , well, so does electoral votes so that point is moot.

My idea, we all vote in our state, winner gets the state as 1 vote (ie PA my state)..  In the event one candidate gets 25 states and the other guys gets same it's a tie and House of Representatives breaks it, just like with electoral. BTW WE the people did not create or vote on the electoral college, that was done by congress no?

make every citizen's vote count, abolish the electoral college! (now figure out how this would effect all future presidential elections)

Seriously, Kerry's winning? Interesting. After Howard won over here, I had almost lost all hope that we'd have some fresh idiocy in the world. :nervous:

I am disappointed this party  doesn't exist in the US... :)
If a man consults whether he is to fight, when he has the power in his own hands, it is certain that his opinion is against fighting.

That contrasts with the current NYT count:

Bush
9,155,515 (54.4%)
34

Kerry
7,564,528 (44.9%)
3

Seems Kerry has a resounding lead in PA, but is trailing slightly in OH and FL.

Incidentally, Bobboau, that's who I would have voted for had I been six months older.  Mind you, if I was in a swing state, I probably would have voted for Kerry, just to try to make sure Bush did not get reelected.

I couldn't vote for either canidate in my state and didn't know enough about any of the 3rd party canidates. So I did one of the hardest things I have ever done. I put the word none on the screen.

NYT is only putting up more or less confirmed wins. CNN is projecting a bit more. They've got Bush up 171 to 112 right now...
