Cobra, Staples is, with no shadow of doubt, the worst place to purchase computer periphreals. They over price everything by as much as $40-50 USD. Wal-Mart is okay, but they mostly only carry a couple of brands(HP and Creative, as well as a couple of off brands I wouldn't touch if you gave them to me). Internet retailers are you're friend when it comes to getting parts on the cheap. A Video card(Radeon or something) might cost $230 in a store, if you buy it off the the internet it might only cost $150 if you can find a deal with a reputable dealer. And you don't have to have a credit card to make purchases from internet retailers. The last time I checked, cnetpc.com/ accepted Money Orders, so you could save you're cash up and then make a money order for you're purchases. The big rub with Internet Retailers is their return policy, make sure you understand it before you buy something from them, because you're likely to get screwed over if you can't meet their return requirements.
