I prefer mine. They are such rare a combination and spring to the eye, I can find my posts without actually reading the names of the posters. Just scroll until the known colour combination comes up. :p

Although I won't deny my signature is also helping that fact.

Anyway, on the model: Try getting rid of the primitives, Cobra.

You may live to regret that, especially when you see my latest WIP lol.

what? what are the primitives?
To consider the Earth as the only populated world in infinite space is as absurd as to assert that in an entire field of millet, only one grain will grow. - Metrodorus of Chios
I wept. Mysterious forces beyond my ken had reached into my beautiful mission and energized its pilots with inhuman bomb-firing abilities. I could only imagine the GTVA warriors giving a mighty KIAAIIIIIII shout as they worked their triggers, their biceps bulging with sinew after years of Ivan Drago-esque steroid therapy and weight training. - General Battuta

Primitives = boxes, prisms, etc.  I.e. basic / simple geometric objects.

For example,  if you have a box for a body, a thin flat box for a wing, a cylinder for a gun barrel etc.

What you actually want, is all those to be part of the same single object, and usually to be created by extruding faces. (or welding existing objects together, but that's a little more technically complex).

BTW, if i try to thin out anything on this model, it'll screw up the whole thing.

this is what happens when i have a lot of free time. now, all someone needs to teach me is how to unwrap it and make hi-poly models.

and thorn, how can I create my own x-wing? besides making it hi-poly, which i can't do yet.

i actually did extrude on the engines, guns, and fuselage.

I don't know if is it good or not, but i have some problem with glueing several objects, they seems to be not very well included eachother. How to cut the noise from my X wing ?
I want to delete the edge of the noise to make something more like the x wing. Here the model i've done with Ts 3.2.

I don't understand what you're asking. You want to cut the nose off of that mesh?

Also, gluing several objects together isn't the best way to make a model. It's inefficient, and, though I hate to say it, shows a great lack of skill.

I know, i'm just beginning using Ts 3.2.
When i said cut the noid, i mean to cut a part of the noise of the x wing. So, after cutting, The x wing don't have a pyramid form in the edge of the noise.

I hope you'll understand what i mean

What I'm saying is, you dont have to make it exactly like the movies. You can make the wings longer, change the guns, do whatever you want to it.

yeah, but i just wanted to make it actually look like a decent x-wing.

aldo, gimme a minute... okay, here's the DXF

btw metal, use blender. I swear by it, and look where it's got me.

[EDIT] those spaces are probably a graphical error.
