Looking for a new camera
So I'm looking for a new camera for my birthday. My grandparents are giving me money and I've got a bunch saved up, so I'm looking to buy something at about $500. $750 tops.

Preferably 5 megapixels or more, with a flash, and control over aperature, speed, ISO, and all that good stuff.

Any suggestions?

Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

Sony DSC-V3. It's basically Sandwich's and my camera (the V1), except on steroids. Pretty good stuff, though it might not quite be your flavour.
- Eddie Kent Woo, Setekh, Steak (of Steaks), AWACS. Seriously, just pick one.

I'd like a cheap little PoS digital camera that wouldn't cost much, too bad the cheapest I can find is $200.

There you go, Bobboau. The first page is under $200, with the exception of the last.

You could consider something like a Fuji Finepix S7000 (a successor to my S602). It's a good camera although the sensor can cause things to lose detail (or so I've read).

Failing that, Canons cameras are pretty damn good. The Powershot range in particular - such as the PowerShot G6.
