it improves much of the graphics on the game. the engines look like engines instead of balls with spikes and the missle trails look like smoke instead of ribbons (no offense   ) plus the shivan super laser looks alot more like it does in the beginning cutscene of FS2. it also has some new backrounds. so what do you think?

Do the nebulas actually glow or is it the fact that I put 10 on top of one another?
WOW! The engine glows are amazing, and I almost fainted when I saw the suns.

And I've got the jaw that just hit the floor... wow that mods wicked! It really does add something to the game, with a little tweaking I think something of a larger scale version of this mod would be great... (implememnting a kind of a bump map on the ships and so on, altering other effects)...

When (or IF) the source code comes, I am quite sure that FS2 will be updated quite heavily.

But what I have become worried is, what if those updates are numerous and one does not work with others. Or at least it will be overwritten when installing another.

It would be the best if there would be ONE standard update, so everyone, especially newbies won't get so frustrated. It would be also much easier for everyone to maintain only one update packet for FS2. But surely that won't gonna happen, standards have always been our weak point, if you are not M$.

I beg to differ, most people in the FS community have a strict set of standards on which they design all new ships and campaigns:

Make it BIGGER, FASTER, MORE POWERFUL.
